Harold Ancart peint les promesses d’un lointain merveilleux dans lequel on pourrait s’échapper. Ses peintures, souvent de grand format, sont marquées par le mouvement, les formes biomorphiques et les paysages. L’œuvre d’ Harold Ancart s’articule sur une contradiction assumée: dans ses peintures, l’abstraction est mise à nu, alors que la représentation reste indéniablement présente.
