Gavin PERRY
Né en 1971, vit et travaille à Miami.
La peinture de Gavin Perry, créée à Miami, s’inscrit dans la droite ligne de la ligne californienne du finish fetish des années 1960, et introduit une perfection formelle, colorée et rutilante, en utilisant des matériaux industriels détournés de leur usage, créant des phénomènes visuels qui varient avec
le temps. Centré sur le choc social des esthétiques décoratives et de la customisation automobile.
Diplômé de la Tyler School of Art de la Temple University en Pennsylvanie, son travail a été montré au Contemporary Art Museum de Houston (2013), au Frost Art Museum de Miami (2012) et lors des foires d’Art Basel, Basel, et Art Basel Miami Beach. Il fut nommé pour la première édition du Prix Jean-François Prat en 2012 et il a obtenu le Prix de la Chestler Foundation, Miami (2001).
